Scope of Work for the project (50 words):
Design and implement a health clinic in a town of 1,500. Project includes a reinforced clinic building, water supply, electrical supply, and sanitation facilities.
Scope of Work for the analysis (100 words):
This assessment will select between two alternative structural types for the clinic, three water supply locations, two electrical supply sources and two latrine technologies.
Proposed Next Step (100 words):
After the preferred alternative has been selected and approved, the Test Chapter begin preparation of the Draft Construction Drawings and Draft Implementation Trip Plan. The project is now tentatively slated for construction in December 2018 after a short delay when the second assessment trip was added.
Describe Recent Contact with Community, NGO, and in country partners (100 words):
Primary contact is through the NGO partner Axis Global but we regularly schedule, send and receive messages via Instafeed from the community members. We meet with the local minister of health each time we are in country but we do not maintain regular contact with the minister.
Describe the Chapters current fundraising goals and milestones (100 words):
The program is on track to fundraise for the implementation. But, the extra assessment trip has set fundraising back slightly. The hope is to have the remainder of the construction costs funded through a 5k run planned in June and to have individual travelers increase their personal fundraising.
