Course Objectives: Formation of knowledge and skills in the field of calculation and design of power supply systems based on renewable energy sources.
Learning Outcomes: Formation of competences in standards and normative documents, experimental research, protection devices, and relay protection systems.
Course content: Relay protection systems, communication protocols, experimental research, and protection devices.
Prerequisites: Electric power grids and systems; Theory of power engineering; English language competence of CEFR level B1.
Corequisites: Emergency control in power systems
Facilities and Equipment: Laboratory of Relay Protection and Automation; various relay protection systems and computers.
Grading Policy: 100 points maximum, 80 for current control, 20 for intermediate certification.
Course Policy: Active class participation, strict attendance.
